Developed and implemented a plan to achieve £1.4m in year savings on Xerox integrated contracts
Produced and implemented a plan to reduce marketing category suppliers from 160 to 130.
Completed tender for creative packaging suppliers, reducing from 5 suppliers to 2 and implementing new structured rate card, delivering in year savings of £0.5m
Completed tender for digital coupon processing, moving Morrisons away from a supplier of 14 years to a new digital solution resulting in £1m cost savings and £0.5m fraud reduction.
Responsibilities
Source the right products/services/packaging/equipment and deliver the customer offer from end to end
Reduce costs and wasted effort in the end to end delivery of the customer offer
Lead and develop a team of colleagues and influence the wider business and industry
Understand the operational standards of working in a Procurement role including contracting, legal compliance, Grocery Suppliers Code of Practice, corporate social responsibility and other regulatory requirements
Negotiate well with suppliers, lead a supply base and do the right thing for our customers and the business.
Produce a plan to improve category and supplier performance
